Heavenly Streams

I’ve been a licensed acupuncturist for 25 years. In that time I’ve treated tens of thousands of patients and felt hundreds of thousands of points. That experience adds up. I’m very much guided by palpation and the principles of Chinese Medicine. On the palpation part, i can very much feel when a point is calling out. you will feel it too. On the philosophical side, my primary guiding principle is to support the righteous and eliminate the pathological. And as much as it makes sense I really like to talk through the what and why i choose points and invite you to dive deeper into your own self care.

People usually find acupuncture as an option to treat some pain condition. The idea is to set the stage for the healing of your body. Acupuncture sends signals into the matrix of life that activate nerve and blood and energy flow. I see much of my work as not just a needler, but as a guide and a conduit to share the holistic perspective about the body and how it relates to your situation. 

In addition to my work as an acupuncturist I’m also a musician and builder of instruments and amplifiers. This all feeds into my understanding as the body as an overall kind of transmitter-receiver instrument that is tunable and amplifiable. 

Furthermore, I realize we are all in this together, and I feel that we should all be able to afford quality healthcare, but to learn better to care for ourselves, and so I have options to make acupuncture  accessible to you including my sliding scale drop-in sessions, 9-12 M-F, and my folk medicine classes.
